The general curriculum includes the definition of international humanitarian law, the study of the theory of war in traditional international law, the principle of the prohibition of the use of armed force in contemporary international relations, concerning the evolution of the concept of international armed conflict and the international efforts made to contain the various forms of use of armed force. The special curriculum includes an in-depth study of one or more topics of international humanitarian law such as (customary international rules related to the protection of victims of war as codified and developed in the four Geneva Conventions, the evolution of the idea of international armed conflict, war crimes, and the principle of proportionality .
