The general approach includes introducing the criminal procedural rules and procedural regulations of the Sultanate of Oman, comparing them to the positive procedural systems, reviewing the preliminary stages that precede a criminal case, and the characteristics of that case over other judicial cases, and then identifying the various stages of a criminal case, starting from the moment it is filed and ending with the issuance and execution of the criminal judgment. The special curriculum includes an in-depth study of one or more of the topics of the Code of Criminal Procedure such as: criminal case, exceptional jurisdiction of criminal officers, investigation, and inspection.
