This course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to solve problems and make effective, systematic decisions in a business environment. It will enable students to understand and apply a variety of theories, methodologies, tools, and techniques for acquiring, analyzing, and managing data and information to make sound strategic business decisions, including consideration of the ethical aspects and issues related to decision-making. The course will cover a range of topics, including, but not limited to: the concept of decision-making, characteristics of decision-makers, factors influencing decision-making, approaches to problem-solving in business, and appropriate methodologies, tools, and techniques for formulating and solving business problems to arrive at well-justified decisions.
