The general curriculum includes studying the concept, principles and components of the success of local administration and its problems, the system of local administrative decentralization, the formation of administrative units as the legal framework for communities and their elected councils, determining their authority to establish and manage local administrative public facilities, regulating the relationship between them, and clarifying the supervisory role of the central authority in the Sultanate of Oman compared to some countries. The unique curriculum includes an in-depth study of one or more topics of local administration such as: methods and means of administrative control, applications of local administration in the Sultanate of Oman.
